Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern registration for and participation in the youth football tournaments organised under the Football Cup Barcelona, Barcelona Football Festival and Barcelona Girls Cup brands (each a "Tournament"), as well as the use of this website and its registration, brochure and newsletter services.
The organiser is Sport and Leisure Barcelona S.L., CIF B63722615, Via Augusta 13, 08006 Barcelona, Spain (the "Organiser", "we", "us").
By submitting a registration, making any payment, or accrediting a participant at a Tournament, the registering club, academy, school or team (the "Club") and every participant, parent and legal guardian accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, do not register.
1. Registration and eligibility
1.1. Registration is open to football clubs, football schools, technical academies, official selections and educational centres. The Club warrants that all information supplied at registration is accurate and complete, and that it is authorised to register each player and staff member, including obtaining the consent of each participant's parents or legal guardians.
1.2. The Club assumes full responsibility toward its players and their families for the information, services and conditions it communicates to them. The Organiser is not responsible for any difference between what the Club communicates or sells to families and the services officially described by the Organiser. Any such claims must be addressed to the Club, never to the Organiser.
1.3. Registration is confirmed only when the Organiser has received the team registration fee and issued written confirmation. Places are limited per age class and are allocated in order of confirmed registration. The Organiser may close registration for any age class once capacity is reached, and may reject or cancel any registration where there are indications of irregularity or malpractice toward families.
1.4. Each player may play for only one team in the Tournament. Squad sizes are: 11v11 — minimum 13, maximum 25 players per team; 7v7 — minimum 8, maximum 16 players per team. A maximum of 2 coaches may be registered per team.
1.5. If an age class does not receive enough registered teams, the Organiser may either cancel that age class and refund the team registration fee for the affected teams, or merge it with an adjacent age class.
2. Prices and payment
2.1. Prices per player, staff member and supporter, and the contents of each package, are those published on this website or in the official brochure for the relevant Tournament edition at the time of registration. Confirmed registrations keep the prices in force at the time of registration.
2.2. Team registration fee — €600 per team. To confirm your registration, a team registration fee of €600 per team is required. The team registration fee is non-refundable in all circumstances, except cancellation of the age class by the Organiser under section 1.5 or cancellation of the edition under section 3.4.
2.3. Participation fees, accommodation and excursions must be paid in full by the deadlines communicated by the Organiser for the relevant edition. If any amount remains unpaid by the final deadline, the Organiser may exclude the team from the competition without refund of amounts already paid.
2.4. Bank transfer payments must state the reference number in the transfer reference. All bank charges are borne by the payer.
3. Cancellations and refunds
3.1. Cancellation by the Club or by individual participants must be notified in writing (email).
3.2. The team registration fee (€600) is non-refundable. For participation fees and excursions:
Cancellation 60 days or more before the Tournament — cancellation fee 0% of the total cost per person. Cancellation less than 60 days before the Tournament — cancellation fee 100% of the total cost per person. 3.3. No refund is due where a participant or team fails to appear, arrives late, leaves early, or is expelled under section 9, or where cancellation results from transport delays, flight cancellations, strikes, visa refusals or other circumstances outside the Organiser's control.
3.4. If the Organiser cancels a Tournament edition and it is not rescheduled, all amounts paid, including the team registration fee, will be refunded, except in cases of force majeure under section 11, where the Organiser will refund all amounts not already irrevocably committed to third parties.
3.5. Teams play 4–6 matches during the Tournament. If an opponent does not turn up for a scheduled match, no compensation is due; the team may use the field for training during the allotted match time.
4. Airport transfers
4.1. Teams should arrive to Barcelona El Prat (BCN) or Reus (REU) airport. Arrivals via Girona Airport carry a supplement of €400 per one way.
4.2. One airport transfer per team is included where the package includes transfers. The team (or multiple teams in the same age class) must arrive on the same flight, as only one airport transfer is included. Clubs with multiple teams in the tournament should book the minimum number of flights possible (one flight per 30–40 people).
4.3. Airport transfers are not arranged for teams/groups with fewer than 20 people on the same flight. Tournament transfers on Saturday and Sunday are still arranged.
4.4. Team members (players/parents) arriving or departing on different flights, dates or times from the group must organise and pay for their own airport transfers.
4.5. On departure day, the bus leaves for the airport 4 hours before your flight (Barcelona El Prat) or 3 hours before (Reus).
5. Accommodation — hotel/resort rules
5.1. Hotel/resort rules and regulations must be strictly followed. Guests shall behave appropriately and with discretion at all times, respectful of the hotel environment and other guests.
5.2. A curfew of 24:00 applies to all guests under 18. This is in-room/quiet time, established for the health and safety of younger members of the group and the appropriate operation of the hotel.
5.3. Swimming pool hours and guidelines must be respected. All rules and times will be enforced for the comfort and safety of all guests.
5.4. Accommodation providers or the Organiser may require a damage deposit or credit-card guarantee. The Club is liable for any damage caused by its participants or supporters to accommodation, venues, transport or other facilities, and authorises the corresponding charge.
5.5. The Organiser may substitute any accommodation, venue or service with one of a similar category where necessary; such substitution does not entitle the Club to cancel or to any refund.
6. Insurance, health and medical care
6.1. All Clubs must have their players insured both on and off the field. It is the Club's responsibility to ensure players have private insurance: in case of injury, the European Health Insurance Card does not cover sports injuries in Spain.
6.2. Clubs are responsible for the participants at the Tournament, having registered them and declared that all players are physically fit for the event.
6.3. Any medical treatment, hospitalisation, medication or repatriation is at the participant's own cost through their own insurance.
7. Age check, accreditation and bracelets
7.1. The age check of all players takes place on arrival from the airport (Friday) or before the first match (Saturday). Each player must be present and show original proof of identity and age (passport or ID card with photo). Team coaches must present proof of identity (passport or ID card with photo). Any player who cannot present their document cannot participate in the Tournament.
7.2. All players and coaches must wear the tournament bracelet until the end of the Tournament. If a bracelet is lost or broken, a new one can be requested at the tournament office on presentation of a passport or ID card (a photo on your phone or a paper photocopy is accepted for replacement). Players, parents and coaches: keep a photo of your passport or ID card on your phone, or a paper photocopy, at all times.
7.3. A maximum of two coaches per team receive tournament bracelets and may be on the team bench during matches. A maximum of 2 people/coaches may be on the team bench during matches. Coaches must be able to present proof of identity during the Tournament.
7.4. Teams fielding non-accredited or ineligible players may be sanctioned, including forfeiture of matches and expulsion from the Tournament without refund.
7.5. Participants requiring a visa may request an invitation letter after the team registration fee has been paid. Obtaining a visa is the participant's sole responsibility; visa refusal does not alter the cancellation terms in section 3.
8. Image rights and data protection
8.1. Tournaments are public events that are photographed, filmed and streamed. By registering, the Club confirms it has obtained, from each participant's parents or legal guardians, authorisation for the capture and use of the participant's image and voice in photographs, video and live streaming, for publication on the Tournament's website, social networks, apps and promotional materials, without remuneration and without territorial or time limit.
8.2. Personal data is processed by the Organiser as data controller for the management of registrations, payments, accreditation, competition operations and, where consented, communications. Full details, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, are set out in our Privacy Policy. Data of minors is processed only with the consent of their legal representatives.
9. Conduct and discipline
9.1. All players, coaches, staff and accompanying supporters must behave respectfully toward opponents, referees, officials, volunteers, other guests and facilities, and must comply with the competition rules, the instructions of the organisation and the house rules of each accommodation and venue.
9.2. Violent, abusive, discriminatory or dangerous behaviour, or serious or repeated breach of these Terms or the competition rules, by any player, coach or companion may result in sanctions up to expulsion of the individual or the entire team from the Tournament and its accommodation, without any refund and without prejudice to liability for damages.
9.3. Sporting matters, protests and claims are handled exclusively by the Competition Committee under the procedure in the competition rules of each edition. Its resolutions are final and not subject to appeal. Protests concerning referees' decisions are not admitted.
9.4. The Tournament is not responsible for damage that participants cause to themselves or to other participants during the competition. The Club is responsible for the conduct of its participants and registered supporters and for any damage they cause.
10. Changes to the programme
10.1. The Organiser reserves the right to modify the match programme, including group compositions, age classes, kick-off times, playing fields and venues, and to adjust the format where the number of registered teams so requires. Changes are notified to team managers and published on the website and official channels. Such changes do not entitle the Club to cancel or to any refund.
10.2. The Organiser may amend the competition rules for the benefit of the competition; any change will be communicated to the head of each participating team.
11. Force majeure
11.1. The Organiser is not liable for total or partial failure to deliver the Tournament or any service where caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemics or public-health measures, decisions of public authorities, strikes, transport cancellations, security threats or failures of third-party suppliers.
11.2. In such cases the Organiser may reschedule the edition, modify the programme or cancel the edition. Where the edition is cancelled for force majeure, section 3.4 applies.
12. Liability
12.1. The Tournament will not assume responsibility in case of theft or damage to property, injuries, or actions of public authorities or transport companies such as strikes or cancellations.
12.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser is not liable for acts or omissions of independent providers (accommodation, transport, catering, excursions), who remain solely responsible for their own services.
12.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Spanish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by the Organiser's negligence or for wilful misconduct.
12.4. The Organiser's total aggregate liability to a Club and its participants in connection with a Tournament edition is limited to the total amount paid by that Club for that edition.
13. Website, brochures and newsletter
13.1. The content of this website, including texts, logos, brands, photographs and design, is owned by the Organiser or its licensors and may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission.
13.2. Brochure downloads and newsletter subscriptions are free of charge; the personal data provided is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and you may unsubscribe at any time. Information in brochures is indicative and may be updated; the conditions applicable to a registration are those confirmed at the time of registration.
13.3. Use of cookies on this website is described in our Cookies Policy.
14. General
14.1. The Organiser may update these Terms at any time. The version in force at the time of registration applies to that registration; the current version is always published on this page.
14.2. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
14.3. Any matter not covered by these Terms or the competition rules is decided by the Organiser, whose decisions on the organisation and operation of the Tournament are final.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of the city of Barcelona, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules. Consumers residing in the EU may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
